Verdict

Tidio Lyro is worth a free try if your customers ask the same things over and over: opening hours, prices, location and policies. Lyro is the AI agent inside Tidio’s chat tool. It answers chats on your website and social channels, using the content you give it. You can start for $0: every account gets 50 free Lyro conversations (a one-off), and there’s a 7-day trial with no card.

Paid Lyro starts at $32.50 a month billed yearly, for 50 Lyro conversations, and the price goes up with volume (Tidio pricing, checked 22 Oct 2026). All prices in this review are in US dollars (USD), as shown on Tidio’s site.

The big open question for clinics, salons and consultants is booking. Tidio’s pages don’t confirm that Lyro can book appointments by itself, so that part is unconfirmed. Please test it before you rely on it.

Research-based overview. We have not tested Lyro hands-on yet, and we give no score. The facts below come from Tidio’s pricing page and Lyro page, checked on 22 October 2026.

What we checked, and what we haven’t tested yet

We read Tidio’s pricing and Lyro pages on 22 October 2026 (the list in the verdict box above). We have not used Lyro on a real account yet. Before we add any verdict on how well it works, we plan to set up a free account for a test salon and:

  1. Load a one-page FAQ (hours, prices, address, cancellation policy) and ask 20 typical questions.
  2. Ask something that isn’t in the FAQ, to see whether Lyro hands over instead of guessing.
  3. Try the handoff to a person, and the email or ticket fallback when nobody is online.
  4. Connect WhatsApp and Instagram on the Free plan, to see whether Lyro replies there or only in live chat.
  5. Try to book an appointment through the chat.
  6. Count how many of the 50 free Lyro conversations the test used.

What Lyro does, in plain words

It answers from your own content

Tidio says Lyro answers “using only your content”. If the answer isn’t there, Tidio says Lyro “will automatically forward the question to a human agent”. Tidio also says other AI agents make things up and Lyro doesn’t. That’s a claim we still need to test. (Tidio Lyro)

Handing chats to a person

You set the rules for when Lyro hands a chat to a person. A setting called “Guidance” controls its tone and behaviour. (Tidio Lyro)

Smart Actions, and what they’re not

“Smart Actions” can do things like order updates, lead qualification and creating tickets. Tidio’s page says “Now with MCP”. The page doesn’t list appointment booking as a Smart Action, so we don’t promise it.

Lyro Connect works with help-desk and CRM tools such as Zendesk, Intercom, Salesforce “and 20+ platforms”. Tidio’s FAQ says it’s “available only with Plus and Premium subscriptions”, and that “A Lyro conversation starts from $0.5” there. Sales explains that pricing on a demo call. (Tidio Lyro)

Pros and cons

Pros

  • A real $0 start, and the trial needs no card.
  • Lyro and Flows replies don’t count as billable conversations.
  • Prices are set by clear conversation tiers.
  • Social channels are listed on the Free plan.
  • You control the tone and the handoff rules.

Cons

  • Lyro is priced on top of the base Tidio plan.
  • Costs climb with the number of Lyro conversations.
  • Booking isn’t confirmed.
  • Deeper integrations are only on the top plans.

Tidio Lyro pricing explained

Tidio’s pricing page shows yearly billing by default (“2 months free”). These are the prices shown that way, checked 22 October 2026:

Plan Shown on the page (billed yearly) What’s included
Free $0 50 billable conversations, 10 seats, live chat, ticketing, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp and email, 100 Flows visitors
Starter $24.17/mo 100 billable conversations, plus 50 Lyro conversations (one-off)
Growth From $49.17/mo From 250 billable conversations
Plus From $300/mo plus usage Custom and advanced features
Premium Contact sales —
Lyro AI Agent From $32.50/mo 50 Lyro conversations, with higher tiers for more

Monthly-billing prices and the higher Lyro tiers are unconfirmed here: we didn’t record them from the visible page. Switch the toggle to “monthly” on Tidio’s pricing page to see them.

The free plan and the 50 free Lyro conversations

Every Tidio account gets 50 free Lyro conversations. They are a one-off, not a monthly allowance. The 7-day trial needs no card. After the trial, the account drops back to the Free plan.

What counts as a “billable conversation”

A billable conversation is one where a person on your team replies. Lyro and Flows replies don’t count.

A Lyro conversation is different. It’s any customer chat, “through any channel integrated with Tidio”, where Lyro replies at least once. Many Lyro replies in one chat still count as one conversation.

Monthly vs yearly

Yearly billing is the default view and gives “2 months free”. If you’d rather pay month to month, check the monthly prices on the pricing page first.

Who it's for

Is Lyro right for a clinic, salon or consultant?

Salons and consultants: Lyro looks like a good fit for the questions you answer every day. Load your FAQ, set the handoff rules, and try the free conversations first. Check booking yourself before you tell customers they can book in the chat.

Clinics: Tidio mentions “SOC 2 & HIPAA compliance” only for its custom AI agent option. SOC 2 is a security audit standard, and HIPAA is the US law on health data. Which plans qualify is unconfirmed. Wherever you work, health data usually has its own privacy rules, so please don’t put patient health details through a standard plan until you’ve checked with Tidio and your local rules.

If you like the idea but don’t want to set up booking, reminders and reviews yourself, AIFix can set it up for you with AIFix Automation. It uses tools like Tidio, Botpress, Voiceflow and Calendly, on accounts in your name. That’s our own service.

Alternatives

  • Intercom Fin (checked 22 Oct 2026): the Fin AI Agent is “From $0.99 per Fin outcome”, plus an Intercom seat plan. With yearly billing shown, Essential was $19 per seat a month (“New customers save 35%”, down from $29), Advanced $85 and Expert $132. There’s a free trial. It suits support teams more than a two-person salon. Monthly prices are unconfirmed, so check the page.
  • Botpress and Voiceflow: other AI chatbot builders. Their prices are unconfirmed: we haven’t checked them for this piece.
  • Done for you: AIFix Automation builds the whole front desk for you (our own service).
